Saskatchewan Ombudsman and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner

Ombudsman Saskatchewan is a Statutory Officer of the Legislative Assembly. The Ombudsman receives complaints from people who think they have been treated unfairly by a provincial or municipal service. The Ombudsman is also the Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner. In this capacity, they receive disclosures of wrongdoing from public servants, as defined in The Public Interest Disclosure Act and Regulations.
The Office of the Ombudsman is responsible to improve the quality of public administration in provincial and municipal government in Saskatchewan through the impartial exercise of powers as set out in The Ombudsman Act, 2012. The Ombudsman promotes fairness in the design and delivery of services by the provincial government and to investigate complaints from the public who believe they have been adversely affected by a decision or action of a provincial government agency.
