Business Analyst and Trainer – Office of the Ombudsperson, Corporate Shared Services (Victoria, BC)

Four Independent Offices of the Legislature (the Offices of the Ombudsperson, Information and Privacy Commissioner, Police Complaint Commissioner and Merit Commissioner) collaborate in the delivery of corporate services under a joint Shared Services arrangement. The specific services provided under the arrangement are finance, information technology, human resources, facilities and administration. The host agency is the Office of the Ombudsperson. The Executive Director, Corporate Services, leads the delivery of Corporate Shared Services.
Reporting to the Director, Information Technologies, the Business Analyst and Trainer acts as a product manager for Resolve Software—the program that enables all four independent offices to track investigations and complaints. As a key contact for the Office of the Ombudsperson, the Business Analyst and Trainer will combine understanding of business processes and technical understanding of the Resolve Software product to assist the office in ensuring the case tracker system is understood by staff and meets business needs. This includes identifying, documenting and prioritizing systems changes required of the Resolve software as well as planning, coordinating and delivering staff training and support as it relates to Resolve Software.
