The Ombudsperson leads the Office in a manner that is consistent with the Terms of Reference.

In this challenging role, you will be responsible for leading the office in its work to receive concerns from any Toronto Metropolitan University current, former, prospective or alumni student.  The role will include conducting in-depth analysis of complex concerns and complaints to provide information, advice and coaching to students about their rights, responsibilities, options and relevant university policies and procedures with a view to enhance transparency, access, fairness and respect.  Additionally, in your role, you will identify any policies, rules or procedures that appear unclear, inequitable, or unfair, and, where appropriate, highlighting individual and systemic issues with the university.  You will also provide leadership, guidance and support to all team members, especially in relation to complex case work.    More>>>
