The Manager of Investigations leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of excluded staff in conducting confidential and impartial investigations under the Ombudsperson Act and/or the Public Interest Disclosure Act. Under the authority delegated by the Ombudsperson, and working as part of a management team, the Manager of Investigations exercises significant responsibility regarding the work of Ombudsperson Officers and other staff assigned to their team. Managers of Investigations are responsible for ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act, the Ombudsperson Act, established policy and the principles of administrative fairness and natural justice.
